Cardiff Tutor Company helps people to prepare for City and Guilds functional skills exams. Our partners at MME have been working with our team to find and accumulate an abundance of revision resources to help you prepare for your exams, including City and Guilds Functional Skills past papers. These papers will help you understand what the real exam will be like as well as which areas of your knowledge will need improvement, as the mark scheme for each paper is included.
The qualification that City and Guilds offer is a Functional Skills in both Maths and English. This is equivalent to that of a GCSE for each subject, meaning that this qualification is great for starting work in the UK, as many employers look for those who have GCSE qualifications in Maths and English, increasing your chances of getting a job you want. Most universities and colleges also accept this qualification as part of their entry requirements for most of their courses, allowing you to start your course. City and Guilds provide both Level 1 and 2 for each of the two subjects, allowing you to pick the right level you need.
These exams are conducted online, requiring you to connect to a video call with an invigilator. This will mean that you will need a computer with a working webcam and microphone to be able to communicate with the invigilator. From there, the invigilator will set you up on your exam.
The Curriculum is the same as other Functional Skills exams, so you won’t have to learn any new content, and with all the revision tools at your disposal on the MME website, you will be able to pass your City and Guilds Functional Skills online exam.
