A key initiative we have been involved in the past few years is to improve adult numeracy by pushing functional skills maths level 2 support. A wider initiative is being launched to aid this that the government has set up called the Multiply scheme. This schemes aim to support adult learners in improving their maths skills.
Through the Multiply scheme learners can get access to proven revision resources and support including tuition from professional and DBS checked tutors. We are looking to support this scheme by providing these tutors to all of the learners that need them. The Multiply website offers support in the form of resources and tuition but it does not enable learners to sit the exam. To sit the exam learners must book through a registered exam center like a college. Learners can also sit the exam online and at home and without theneed to attend a full college course.
To qualify for the support through the multiply scheme,learners need to ensure they do not already have a GCSE grade C or level 4 or a functional skills maths. The maths resources available will breakdown each section and make it easier for you to understand and learn. It also comes with contexualised questions, practice exercises and video explanations helps to bring the maths alive and makes it more relatable.
