At Cardifftutorcompany, we provide tuition for all the core subjects to make sure all of our learners are given the help they need. Each week we look to write about a resource that will help our students and others learn and revise. This week we are looking at A Level maths past papers. It is obvious that these papers are so important but learners and schools often misuse them. Schools and 6th forms often use these papers for homework assignments or end of topic tests. These end in learners seeing papers they have already sat when they come to revise for their actual exam at the end of the year.

When possible, we advise our students to try to avoid completing these A level maths past exam papers until they are preparing for the end exam at the end of the year.  These papers are best used to identify weaknesses in your knowledge and prepare for your exam. The papers completed for revision should not have been seen by the student before and completed in exam condition. Once you have completed a paper you should then mark it to see your score and weaker areas. After this paper you should revise the weaker areas and continue tour revision normally and then go back to the papers.Once you complete this process multiple times you will see a good improvement in your scores and knowledge.

Cardifftutorcompany also offers quality 1-2-1 that has received great feedback from previous students. These tutors are qualified and DBS checked who have personal experience in improving scores and grades. If you are interested in a tutor or would like to find out more, please get in touch today.
