Brandon goes to the local shop on his lunch break every day.

He typically buys the following items:

A meal deal for £3.50 consisting of a sandwich, snack and drink

2 energy drinks for £1.29 each

A large packet of sweets for £1.40

Brandon works 5 days per week.

Calculate his weekly expenditure on his lunch breaks, assuming he spends the same amount of money each day.

Answer type: simple

ANSWER: £37.40

Workings:

2 energy drinks for £1.29 each costs 1.29\times2 = £2.58

The total daily expenditure is therefore: 3.50+2.58+1.40 = £7.48

The total weekly expenditure is therefore: 7.48 \times 5 = 37.40
